If you register with an email and password instead of Google Sign-In, we collect:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Password (stored as a secure, salted hash — never in plain text)
2.3 Usage Data
We automatically collect certain technical data when you use our service:
- Pages viewed and content watched
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- IP address and approximate location (country/region)
- Watch history and content preferences

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.
Usage logs and analytics data may be retained in anonymised form for up to 12 months.

We use a limited number of trusted third-party services to operate FlickerPlay. Each processes data only as described in their own privacy policies:

8. Cookies & Local Storage
We use the following types of cookies and browser storage:

- Guest watch cookies — to track content viewed before signing in (no personal data stored, 1-year expiry).
You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to stay signed in.
9. Children's Privacy
